Blending industrial food powders is a fundamental process which involves mixing different powdered components to create a uniform mixture. The process allows for efficient and consistent production while offering customisation options to meet consumer demands. This step can also save time and costs, ensure homogeneity and facilitate quality control. The blending process is widely used in the production of baked goods, seasonings, spice blends, beverage mixes, powdered sauces, nutritional supplements and more.
The Hanningfield IBC Blender: Improve Flexibility & Increase Production Capacity
The Hanningfield Uni-Blend is designed for the gentle tumbling of IBCs and drums, helping to create uniform batches of food powder products. IBC blending offers many advantages over traditional methods (e.g. V-blender, double cone blender). As the blending process occurs inside the container itself, ‘blending in the bin’ can significantly reduce downtime, by enabling fast changeover between batches.
Since cleaning of the blender is no longer required (clean the bin rather than the blender), it removes blending as the process bottleneck. IBC blending also allows various batch sizes to be performed on a single blender since you can switch from a small IBC to a large IBC, all while using the same mechanical blending device.
